Nandu brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience across financial services, technology, venture capital, executive coaching, and leadership development. Known for developing leadership talent and building high-performance cultures, he has worked with C-suite executives and senior leaders at Amazon, Microsoft, Barclays, Airbnb, Qatar Airways, DP World, Scotiabank, and Nokia — identifying blind spots and driving lasting behavioural change.
At Barclays, Nandu contributed to the development of Pingit, Europe's first peer-to-peer payment app, and ran a customer engagement programme that began with a "blind date" with a customer, immersing over 7,500 colleagues in direct customer experience. As Chief Cyber Exploration Officer at Barclays Ventures, he led a cybersecurity fund exploring new business opportunities, joint ventures, and acquisitions. He was also a founding team member of Rise, Barclays' fintech accelerator, supporting early-stage startups across the US, UK, and India.
At Confused.com, Nandu established the insights team, playing a key role in the company's success as one of the UK's earliest fintech success stories.
A two-time founder, Nandu has consistently combined social impact with technological innovation. He co-founded Making A Difference Through Analytics in 2010, a global movement in partnership with Google, Barclays, and the University of Cambridge, mobilising over 800 volunteers to support more than 100 charities, social enterprises, and policymakers through global hackathons, workshops, and consulting assignments to improve operational effectiveness and strategy.
He also founded Balanced.Social in 2021, one of the world's first AI-powered platforms designed to deliver balanced news across multiple perspectives — developed with thought leaders from Uppsala University, Stanford University, and the University of Cambridge to give users a more complete and considered view of current events.
